Some songs last for centuries. They bring back memories alive and put us back in the days when we have met these tunes, whether they were good or bad, whether the day of happiness or of suffering. The best songs of the coming out of North Carolina Bowerbirds seem to be as timeless. The finest campfire hymns, sung by a couple who clings to his deep love for each other. "The Clearing" is the third album by the Bowerbirds, which some have compared to Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen. And as is so often the case with bands whose success is proof, they will have more time and better resources. This album is bigger, the sounds, the duo are courageous and willing to expand its radius.
Many songs on this album overwhelm the listener with a quiet but lively and flowing and pulsating Engerie kidnap gently on a journey into the stream from gradually stop off the peacefulness. The best example is the song "Hush" is. "He plays hide with vibraphone, piano and drums, while Beth Tacular's voice on the one hand exudes a sinister atmosphere, on the other hand, suggests resilience and strength," says the press release. He continued: "The fact is, these songs do not leave anything the grown production needs: guitars and strings, and codas between verses indicate urgent thoughts, full of vitality and necessity, without them to take a piece of their timelessness." We at The obligations.
The most complex piece of this album may well be "Walk The Furrows". The thematic core of the song - "the belief in a return to private life in a world full of temptations and distractions" - hits a sensitive nerve of our society. This message, which also calls the duo in the world are probably many people want to take it to heart. And it's not the best way to give people a lesson to those along the way? A sobering message wrapped in pleasant flying guitar accompaniment and haunting cello sounds, coupled with Philip Moore's slightly mournful voice and equally demanding.
Transported to "The Clearing" values such as frugality with her ambition, as well as patience and understanding with expectations with intellect. Which suggests at first glance an inner conflict, which is undoubtedly in every big city people rumbles, but turns out as an attempt to put the listener into this emotional situations, him vermiteln as strong emotions, and so the largest possible catharsis, that is the cleaning of flat this to allow him to leave and live in peace and tranquility.
At the same time, the American duo aptly expresses his views on the world that truly realistic, but is also associated with a healthy dose of melancholy. Finally, it is more than for the third album Bowerbirds. On "The Clearing" Beth and Phil sing the best and most important moments of their lives while they inspire you to reflect on their own experiences prägsame and they live through before this wonderful musical experience again. In times like these, full of unrest and instability, such songs are "balm for our souls," writes the band.
And this balm can be applied quite fresh, for the Bowerbirds arrive on 4/27/12 after Müchen. It will be interesting how they manage the Orange House (Hansastr. 41, 80686 Munich, 20:00 clock) in a place of surging emotions and simultaneously transform the contemplation in the camp fire style that tries this cold, wet spring and we teach himself the awakening and the experience gained with the fire of the American Heart duo.

'Graveyard': the cemetery lit by Feist
You are about to see one of the most exciting scenes of your favorite series. At the time of maximum intensity, and not see it coming, it starts beeping 'Graveyard' by Feist, made the hair stand on end getting your skin. This, exactly this is what I experienced yesterday afternoon to enjoy the last chapter of One Tree Hill, The CW series that usually has a soundtrack truly overwhelming.
"Metals" has major issues. We already know all since the market began in October 2011. 'The Bad In Each Other', 'How Come You Never Go There', 'Comfort Me' ... everyone has their reason for being. 'Graveyard', meanwhile, perfectly fulfills the role of "Cinderella song." You know, those pieces that start gently and get transformed in such a way that ultimately end up sounding like authentic timeless hymns.
I can not out of my mind that "bring em all back to life". Damn Leslie ...

Johnny D: Disco Jamms
For some discounters may just be "gay" - apart from the fact that the gays very much with the origin and history of the genre has to - it is the mother of many types of electronic games which are today. This is caused directly and audibly HOUSE! So far so good and also not really groundbreaking news. Dimitri from Paris and Joey Negro Disco music probably would not simply remain just a waiter or butcher.
Disco has just as much to prepare the way and of course is not only meant Daftpunk'sches Filter House. Disco music is groovy, especially among the friends of the rare original of something frowned upon, that they have already testicle cramps when they are only told of it or something hinted at in the right direction. In fact, the era of disco and dirty Souls Orchestra has ended. For those nerds that's still the same again - too little dirt, too little soul, and in general to be very cheesy, very glamorous, very pop and coke. And right here there are so many pros and cons, that one simply can and focus on the benefits of DISCO just once enters an (or do not). The very first hip-hop heroes like Herc, Theodore, Flash and Caz had way at all Nothing against the massive disco and put on! Unfortunately, that was too often on retro ringing and jam Keep-it-real-events mistakenly told is around.
Johnny D. DeMairo is an absolute expert when it comes to Disco and House. There is nothing to discuss. With his label Henry Street Music, he has contributed significantly to the switch between disco and house. On the new BBE compilation he put together his own 80s Disco secret weapons and the tensioned back here arc within the genre from Italy to New York. He mixes great Dubversionen rare and classics. The result includes as much music which is reflected in the current (synth) madness between hip-hop, wonky, glitch, dubstep, house and techno. Except that this is simply a fine mix of the mother ship, then you can dance in the club like Grandma on carnival and ecstasy. And yes, it's poppy, it is often nasty and somehow Cheey 80s - but damn it for the dance floor, and often just plain funky!

Various Artists: The Exclusives
Nearly 20 years ago, the series "DJ Kicks" on the label! Started K7. The international music press is there for some time agreed that the DJ mix series is here to stay. The contributions of Kemistry & Storm, Carl Craig and Kruder & Dorfmeister have presented not only their time but also the spirit of sustainability, so timeless proven. For a long time, one could assume that the current edition of the DJ-Kicks too hot shit on it had often promised progression and hielte. This care must be always sure that you are not only a mainstream such as Techno dedicated. This series of them lived, that she took small underground hype and sounded out whether they had enough substance inside them. This is usually well managed really well. With dubstep had waited too long and then just had Kode9 innovative work being appreciated not really dewy and real. The timing and the commissioning of the Mixes by Daddy G (Massive Attack) has also not understood, and the quality of the mix of Truby Trio and Nightmare on Wax did not meet their universal and varied DJ sets! All these small points of criticism are facing great DJ-art, in which a fundamental part of a DJ-Kicks Exclusive track was and is. These tracks were made only for the mix and not available anywhere else and can sometimes also be a tribute to the DJ Kicks series itself
Now there is another edition of "The Exclusives" where the songs the DJ-Kicks the last 5 years can be found. Independent Aufbrecher of techno wonder Knabens James Holden hears this epic next to Four Tet's funky black and Hendrik Synthiepopabenteuer Detroitverehrungen. On the 14 tracks the colorful diversity and the highest qualities of the series is clear. Nice part.

From the far north
In March, an aurora brightens our southern firmament - this is not an astronomical event: the German star Ina Müller comes to Munich.
She grew up in a farming family near Cuxhaven, followed by an apprenticeship to a pharmacist. But the music played a large role in their lives and so they turned increasingly to the cabaret, sang and traveled through Germany.
With Edda she founded in 1994, the cabaret duo "Queen Bee", which presented musically accompanied by cheerful snappy texts from various spheres of life, mainly from a female perspective. Concentrated after the separation in 2005, the two on their solo projects.
Ina Müller gives the Low German language in the form of songs and as a writer, an unusual attention to date. The result was the solo program "Ina Müller reads and sings op Platt".
She also moderated in the NDR broadcasts "Country and Love", "Inas North" and the coveted prizes award-winning "Ina's night." There she swaying on the bar with celebrity guests, as only recently Heiner Lauterbach and Bully Herbig, songs about sailors in Hamburg-Altona's oldest sailor pub "The haddock items" and chats with them in a most entertaining manner of their life. In between, she keeps the audience with lively vocal performances in a good mood and it can not assume that invitees live acts to accompany, for example, Lana del Rey or the Sportfreunde Stiller, mostly in the second vote. By now everyone is firmly bound to the lively music and all-rounder fit together really well.
Ina Mueller captures her facial expressions, her hearty laugh and her refreshing style and each one can share the emotions of the blond all-rounder. Is not authentic, her wit and charm surpass the beauty Barbara Berger and their openness is fun: "Throw away the chairs, the curtains from the walls and tear you let go!"
No wonder that their fan base is growing steadily.
Musically, the works reflect the spirited North German always a phase of their lives against - carried by her sexy husky and powerful voice. Sex appeal, the 46-year-old plentiful.
Their current album "That would have been your song" is about their relationships with men and the associated turbulence, but also of the beautiful moments. Songs like "Almost over it", "cheating" or "If you bear the" suggest that these issues has processed Ina Müller in her album for themselves.
You can convince all of them on 10 March at the Olympia Hall, listening to the friendly entertainer here.

Panda phantom phenomenon.
19 years old until he is, the rapper and producer Cro. But even big business. His debut album, My Music, which he has made available for free download on the net, took the music scene with great enthusiasm. His music he describes as "raop" - Rap and Pop, which also influences can be heard from the indie sector.
Cro raps, plays piano and guitar and is also responsible for his beats. And because it seems the music is not enough, he operated or otherwise creative, fashion designs and draws cartoons for a newspaper. Soon, his first album offzielles, then it goes on tour - this is unfortunately already sold out. End of February with his Cro guest DJ Dino Psaiko in Crux, a few cards to get hold of the box office. Who has not created there, after all, enjoy the summer a chance to Cro at Rock im Park in Nuremberg on stage.

Comedian in the Matthias concoction Freiheiz in Munich
Matthias concoction with its program women think differently - men are not now in Munich in FreiheizEigentlich he is a star. Only he knows stupid erwiese hardly anyone. Matthias concoction 2005 principal comedian. Previously, he earned his living as a writer and worked for the cabaret and television, to him "sometime ambition, fame addiction and food shortages drove onto the stage," as he says himself. The 43-year-old Brandenburg with the homes of Berlin and Dresden, has appeared already in Nonsense Comedy Club and Dieter Hallervorden Berlin cabaret theater, the voles. Now he presents his program for success with the title "Women think differently - men do not". Since late November, he is with this program and go through Germany on his way to Munich 01.29.2012 it leads to Freiheiz.
Handiwork is evident in "Women think differently - not men," Gerd Muller as the gender struggle. As a humorous shock striker he goes where it hurts: Among the women. For these are the favorite hunting trophy husband. So he follows them into overpriced bars, accompanied by endless department stores and even throws like his principles overboard. For a woman, a man does anything until it is your own. Then he has them, but then come questions: Why do they want to walk all the time? Why she does in the afternoon from the front door? Whether Matthias concoction with his gag fireworks the answers to these questions, they can live out in January in Munich.
"Women think differently - men are not" in the high critical praise, just like Matthias concoction itself The Hello writes Sylt: "The name Matthias concoction so far hardly anyone had heard, but who has experienced the comedian, it is not so quickly forgotten, "and describes him as' comedy 'tip' The Frankish days says:". concoction proved to be an intelligent, deep, sharp-tongued wordsmith, so brilliant entertainer "
That he has now landed on the stage may perhaps not have been finished article original intention. Actually, he has namely political science at the TU Dresden and studied during this period also involved in politics. After this period of life, he began his career as an author. Whether Matthias concoction with his gag fireworks the answers to these questions, they can live out in January in Munich.

Through empirical research, they tried an inside perspective of the residents and businessmen of the district to work out and answer to their question, whether the station district was the center of urban life. People see the strangers and complexity of their neighborhood to be negative but to take, but at the same time take advantage of the opportunity, as the anonymity of individual freedom. This results in situations such as the Mosque of coexisting and table dancing bar in a house that shape the urban landscape. Anna Lina Häußermann pointed out that this composition of a district is never predictable. Urbanity need the chaos and surprise factor, and can only be individually

The next quarter of the evening was a miner at Laim. Stefanie Hamann (Fine Arts / Sculpture) so chose a different approach. The Promenadology, so the scientific walks, helped her find an access to. Their route took them from walking through industry and business stamped Leuchtenbergring the Streitfeldstraße 3 with their art works to the residential allotments, on to the brewery, the old center, the cockchafer settlement and eventually a cult factory. Through their perceptions and images they could give an impression that shows the different faces of the district.
Anna graduated from the Mießl (studying folklore / European

The important point is that the city is always a narrative space and even if small shops disappear in the quarter, long-established residents afford rent can not, then one should not gentrification, as shown so often thought of as a linear process. Madonna has announced plans to build 10 schools in Malawi
Singer announces her Raising Malawi charity will work with new partner to build schools after first project was scrapped last year
Madonna has announced plans to build 10 schools in Malawi with a new partner after mismanagement forced the singer to scrap her first project there last year.
The singer, who has adopted two children from the impoverished southern African nation, said she hoped the schools would educate at least 1,000 children a year, half of them girls.
That is double the number of children she hoped to help with her previously planned academy for girls, which was scrapped in March last year because of mismanagement.
Madonna said her Raising Malawi charity was teaming up with the non-profit group buildOn, which has constructed 54 primary schools in Malawi in the last 19 years.
"I am excited that with the help of buildOn, we can maintain our ongoing commitment to move forward efficiently. We now will be able to serve twice as many children as we would have served with our old approach," Madonna said in a statement.
"I have learned a great deal over the last few years and feel confident that we can reach our goals to educate children in Malawi, especially young girls, in a much more practical way. Constructing smaller schools in partnership with buildOn has restored my faith that we can accomplish what we promised we would," she added.
Madonna's earlier plan to build a state-of-the-art girls school for about 400 children just outside the Malawi capital, Lilongwe, collapsed last year, and the board of her Raising Malawi charity was fired. The New York Times said at the time that $3.8m (£2.4m) had been spent on the school with little to show for it.
The singer has lent $11m to the organisation that she co-founded in 2006.
Malawi has more than 500,000 children orphaned by Aids and is ranked by the UN as one of the world's 20 least developed countries.
